Dermatology Specialist

About the Role

You’ll be joining North Downs Specialist Referrals (NDSR), a purpose-built, single-site referral hospital recognised internationally as a centre of excellence for specialist veterinary care. This is a part-time position (4 days per week, 32 hours) with flexibility to adjust to 2–3 days if that suits you better. No weekends. No out-of-hours. Just quality clinical work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

The practice is situated in an attractive rural location in Surrey, within easy reach of Gatwick and Heathrow airports, and just 40 minutes from central London by train. You’ll work closely with a Cert AVP Dermatologist and benefit from access to on-site MRI, CT, video-otoscope, digital cytology, and an extensive in-house laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist dermatology care within NDSR’s 12-discipline referral hospital
• Work collaboratively with the Cert AVP Dermatologist and wider specialist team (surgery, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, oncology, cardiology, neurology, dentistry, anaesthesia, ophthalmology)
• Support and mentor rotating residents, interns, and the RVN/SVN/PCA team
• Contribute to clinical excellence and evidence-based practice within the dermatology service

Requirements

• RCVS Specialist in Dermatology or board-eligible candidate
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in small animal dermatology
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary, team-led environment
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development
