Registered Veterinary Nurse – Small Animal

About the Role

North Weald Veterinary Surgery is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their small animal practice in Epping. You’ll work full-time across a varied caseload, from reception support to surgical assistance and diagnostics. With a manageable 1 in 3 Saturday mornings rota, you’ll have genuine work-life balance while being part of a close-knit, supportive team that invests in your development.

The practice has invested in modern diagnostic facilities, including a new dental X-ray machine, so you’ll work with current equipment and gain exposure to diverse nursing competencies across different areas of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support across surgical procedures, diagnostics, and patient care
• Contribute to reception duties as part of the integrated small animal team
• Assist with dental procedures and radiography using the practice’s new equipment
• Support the four veterinary surgeons and four fellow nurses across all aspects of small animal medicine
• Work toward additional nursing competencies in areas of interest, with team encouragement

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification
• Full-time availability (40 hours per week) with flexibility for 1 in 3 Saturday mornings
• Commitment to supporting a collaborative, learning-focused practice culture
