Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

About the Role

You’ll take on a leadership position within an independent small animal practice that’s actively evolving and growing. This full-time role is entirely daytime-based with no out-of-hours commitments—a genuine rarity in veterinary practice. You’ll support and mentor the nursing team while contributing to the day-to-day operations of a well-established, high-caseload clinic that genuinely values both patient care and staff wellbeing.

The practice is looking for someone with management experience who thrives in a busy environment, brings a positive attitude, and has a genuine passion for developing people. You’ll have flexibility to work either four or five days per week, giving you real control over your schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the nursing team, supporting their professional development
• Contribute to the operational management of a high-caseload small animal practice
• Help shape evolving protocols and systems as the practice continues to develop
• Deliver compassionate patient care, adapting your approach to individual patient needs
• Work alongside colleagues in a collaborative, supportive environment

Requirements

• Current RVN registration (UK)
• Experience managing or helping run a busy veterinary practice
• Proven experience mentoring and supporting colleagues
• A positive, can-do attitude and genuine passion for teaching others
• Ability to embrace change and adapt to evolving systems
