Dog Groomer (Part-Time)

About the Role

This is a part-time permanent grooming position offering genuine flexibility around your schedule. You’ll work 25 hours across five days, with just one Saturday per month required. The practice has invested in a fully equipped grooming room, so you’ll arrive to find every tool and product already in place—no hunting for kit or making do with substandard equipment.

You’ll be joining Oaks Veterinary Centre, a well-established multi-site practice serving Ayrshire with locations in Saltcoats, Largs, and Dundonald. The team prides itself on high standards of patient care and customer service, creating a supportive environment where your grooming skills are valued as part of the broader veterinary care pathway.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional grooming services to a wide variety of dog breeds
• Manage your own caseload within the fully equipped grooming room
• Maintain the highest standards of animal welfare and grooming hygiene
• Work independently and reliably within the practice environment
• Build and maintain relationships with the established client base

Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional dog groomer
• Confident, independent working style with strong attention to detail
• Genuine passion for animal care and welfare
• Reliability and friendly approach to clients and colleagues
• Availability to work one Saturday per month

About the Practice

Oaks Veterinary Centre is an established multi-site practice serving Ayrshire across three locations: Saltcoats, Largs, and Dundonald. The practice operates a reception team of 11 staff and is supported by experienced veterinary surgeons, dedicated nurses, and support staff.
