Client Care Assistant – Part-Time

About the Role

This is a varied, fast-paced reception role perfect for someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys working with both clients and colleagues. You’ll be the first point of contact for pet owners visiting Orwell Veterinary Group’s Kesgrave location, working 30 hours per week across shifting patterns (both early and late shifts). With a 1-in-6 Saturday morning rota at Grange Farm and potential to support across all three sites, no two days will be the same.

The role combines customer-facing responsibilities with back-office administration, making it ideal for someone organised, personable, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and pets with warmth and professionalism
• Answer telephones and manage incoming enquiries
• Process payments and update client records accurately
• Handle emails and reports in a timely manner
• Manage Pet Health Club sign-ups, cancellations, and yearly renewals
• Assist with shift scheduling and diary amendments
• Maintain reception area standards and cleanliness
• Work flexibly across Orwell’s three Ipswich-area locations as needed

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and friendly, enthusiastic approach
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Comfortable working under pressure in a busy environment
• Ability to work flexible shifts including Saturday mornings
• Proficiency with administrative and reception tasks
