Telehealth Veterinarian

About the Role

This is a fully remote, freelance opportunity to provide virtual veterinary consultations to pet owners through PangoVet’s telehealth platform. You’ll conduct video assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and guide owners through preventive care and at-home management—all from the flexibility of your chosen location. There’s no on-call rota, no emergency shifts, and no shift patterns to navigate; you control when and how often you work.

You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team reimagining how pets access veterinary expertise. The role suits vets who want autonomy, modern technology, and the chance to focus purely on consultation and education without the pressures of physical practice management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct video consultations to assess and triage pet health concerns
• Develop individualised treatment plans and prescribe appropriate therapies
• Educate pet owners on nutrition, preventive medicine, and home care strategies
• Recognise when cases require escalation to emergency services or in-person examination
• Maintain thorough, accurate consultation records and ensure consistent quality of care

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent qualification)
• Valid veterinary licence to practise in your region (multi-location licensing is a bonus but not essential)
• Strong communication skills—ability to explain medical information clearly and empathetically to non-clinical pet owners
• Comfortable with digital tools and telehealth platforms (training on PangoVet’s system is straightforward)
• Previous telehealth experience is desirable but not required
