About the Role

This is a leadership opportunity unlike any other in the veterinary nursing world. You’ll be joining Pawra, the UK’s first dedicated canine wellness centre, based in the dog-loving heart of Chiswick, West London. As Lead Wellness Adviser, you’ll spearhead a unique role that blends clinical nursing excellence with team leadership, working alongside veterinary physiotherapists, hydrotherapists, behaviourists, and pain management specialists to deliver 360-degree wellness journeys for dogs and their owners.

This full-time position offers flexible working options tailored to business needs, including some evening and weekend availability to ensure care is available when it matters most. You’ll be at the forefront of a transformative service that’s setting new industry standards through state-of-the-art facilities and forward-thinking practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the complete pet wellness journey, delivering nose-to-tail health checks and identifying behavioural and emotional health needs
  • Conduct wellness assessments in collaboration with veterinary physiotherapists, including weight management and nutritional services
  • Lead, prepare, and organise dog training classes and deliver follow-up appointments with precision and care
  • Develop and implement programmes to maintain pet agility and activity levels, providing clear education and guidance to owners
  • Lead a team of wellness professionals and manage pet supervision throughout the complete wellness process
  • Maintain documentation, ensure a welcoming environment, and manage the day-to-day clinical operations
  • Contribute to internal and external CPD events, delivering veterinary nurse learning for colleagues
  • Fulfil your own CPD requirements in line with RCVS recommendations, balancing personal and business development needs

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse with active RCVS registration
  • 3–5 years’ experience as a veterinary nurse
  • Proven team leadership or collaborative experience (demonstrated through problem-solving and proactive attitude)
  • Exceptional communication skills with both pet owners and colleagues
  • Solutions-driven mindset with the ability to develop new pathways and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Commitment to pursuing high-level CPD and staying current with best practice

Pawra is the UK’s first dedicated canine wellness centre, located in Chiswick, West London. This flagship facility brings specialised wellness services under one roof, designed to deliver holistic, integrated care for dogs. The practice operates on a 4-pillar wellness approach: Recover (physiotherapy and pain management), Stay Fit (acupuncture and fitness), Stay Well (nutrition, oral health, massage), and Stay Sharp (emotional confidence training).

The multidisciplinary team includes Wellness Advisers (RVNs), ACPAT-qualified veterinary physiotherapists, canine hydrotherapists, groomers, veterinary behaviourists, and pain management clinicians.
