About the Role

You’ll join the friendly team at Penrose Veterinary Practice, a well-established small animal clinic serving the Colchester area. This is a full-time permanent position where you’ll work alongside experienced RVNs and support staff in a collaborative environment that prioritises both clinical excellence and professional development.

The role spans routine consultations through to basic soft-tissue surgery, with access to a comprehensive range of in-house diagnostic and treatment facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine small animal consultations and thorough case work-ups
• Perform diagnostic procedures and develop treatment plans
• Carry out routine and basic soft-tissue surgical procedures
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about their pet’s care
• Work collaboratively with the RVN team and support staff across the practice

Requirements

• RCVS registered as a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (or eligible to register)
• Confident performing routine consultations, diagnostics and basic soft-tissue surgery
• Strong client communication skills with a compassionate, professional approach
• Collaborative mindset and genuine team player mentality
• Commitment to continuous learning and clinical development
