About the Role

MiNightVet at Pet Doctors Woking is seeking an OOH Veterinary Surgeon to join their permanent team on a flexible basis. You’ll work approximately 10 nights per month, providing emergency and critical care to companion animals through the night and at weekends. This is an ideal role if you have a genuine passion for emergency and critical care cases but value flexibility in your schedule.

The position is based in Woking, Surrey, and is easily commutable from a wide catchment including Farnborough, Reading, Staines, Windsor, Aldershot, Guildford, Godalming, Leatherhead, Epsom, Surbiton, Bracknell, Wokingham, Cobham and other locations across Southwest London, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. You’ll be part of a dedicated OOH team that believes in delivering first-class client care, treating every patient with the same urgency and care as they would their own pets.

The facility is very well equipped, allowing you to manage emergency situations effectively and deliver the standard of care your patients deserve. You’ll also provide hospitalisation and in-patient care for surrounding practices, making this a central emergency hub.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency and critical care to companion animals during night shifts and weekends at Pet Doctors Woking
  • Work as part of the dedicated MiNightVet OOH team, delivering first-class patient care
  • Manage emergency presentations with access to well-equipped facilities
  • Provide hospitalisation and in-patient care support for referring practices in the region
  • Work approximately 10 nights per month on a flexible, permanent basis
  • Contribute to a supportive team culture focused on clinical excellence

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS registration)
  • Demonstrated interest in emergency and critical care (ECC)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team during out-of-hours shifts
  • Passion for challenging cases and emergency medicine
  • Flexibility to work approximately 10 nights per month on a permanent contract
