About the Role

You’ll be the welcoming face at Priory Vets, juggling reception duties with the rewarding responsibility of TB testing administration and on-farm support. This dual-role offers genuine variety—one moment you’re scheduling appointments and answering client calls, the next you’re out on a farm assisting with TB testing. Based in Cardigan with occasional shifts at the Oak Vets Clarbeston Road site, this is ideal for someone who thrives in a mixed office and practical environment. Working 40 hours per week across Monday to Friday, you’ll be at the heart of a busy large animal practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a professional, welcoming first point of contact for clients via phone, in-person, and administrative channels
  • Managing appointment scheduling and day-to-day office administration within a farm veterinary setting
  • Maintaining accurate client records and supporting general practice operations
  • Coordinating and scheduling TB tests with clients and vets
  • Completing and processing all TB-related documentation to ensure compliance
  • Liaising with relevant regulatory agencies on behalf of the practice
  • Assisting veterinarians on-farm during TB testing (full training provided)

Requirements

  • Professional, organised approach to managing varied workloads
  • Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues
  • Comfortable working in both office and outdoor farm environments
  • Competent with computers and administrative systems
  • Reliable team player with a positive, flexible attitude
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Previous agriculture or veterinary experience is an advantage but not required
