🕐 Schedule & Rota

1-in-4 Saturday morning rota (8:00am–1:00pm). No out-of-hours or night shift responsibilities.

About the Role

This is a leadership opportunity with genuine influence. Richmond House Vets is moving to an exciting new, purpose-built site near Mirfield with modern facilities including a dental suite, separate species wards, digital x-ray, and theatres. As Branch Manager, you’ll lead the practice through this relocation and growth, working a 40-hour week over four or five days. The role includes a manageable 1-in-4 Saturday morning rota (8:00am–1:00pm) with no out-of-hours night shifts.

You’ll be part of Gatehouse Veterinary Group, an established practice with a strong track record in the Practice Standards Scheme (PSS). The group offers genuine support and mentorship from an experienced leadership team, and Richmond House Vets is actively building itself into a training practice for veterinary nurses—so your role will include developing the next generation of clinical talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day practice management alongside the leadership team
  • Drive the practice forward through relocation, setup, and ongoing growth
  • Support and develop both clinical and non-clinical team members
  • Act as a Clinical Coach, mentoring student veterinary nurses (training provided if needed)
  • Play a key role in achieving and maintaining PSS compliance at General Practice level
  • Collaborate with Gatehouse Veterinary Group for best practice sharing and support

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification
  • Experience in a leadership role, or demonstrated readiness to step up
  • Passion for team development, training, and high standards of care
  • Confident, proactive approach to shaping a growing practice
  • Willingness to act as a Clinical Coach (or willingness to undertake training if required)
