One Saturday per month at Bradley Stoke Vet Hospital (8am–4pm). No overnight/night shifts.

About the Role

You’ll be the first friendly face clients meet when they walk through the door at Rowe Veterinary Group’s Cat Clinic in Yate. This is a part-time receptionist position (24 hours per week) where you’ll create those important first impressions and keep the practice running smoothly day-to-day. The team prides itself on clinical excellence paired with genuine compassion for both patients and their owners.

Your schedule will be Monday and Wednesday 1:30am–7pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8am–1:30pm, plus one Saturday per month (8am–4pm) at Bradley Stoke Vet Hospital. The role sits within a supportive group practice culture where you’ll work alongside clinical and non-clinical colleagues who value teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets with professionalism and warmth
  • Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling
  • Handle telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries promptly and professionally
  • Advise clients on preventative healthcare products and promote Pet Healthcare Plans and pet insurance
  • Dispense medications and prescriptions
  • Process payments, cash up, and complete general administration and reception duties
  • Support the wider team in delivering a positive patient and client journey

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, with strong attention to detail and focus on service
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Collaborative approach and genuine willingness to support colleagues
  • Proactive attitude, open to feedback and learning
  • A genuine interest in animal welfare and customer care
