About the Role

Snoots Veterinary Clinic is building a modern remote clinical support service that sits between primary care practices and traditional referral work. As a Remote Internal Medicine & Diagnostics Vet, you’ll interpret laboratory results, communicate findings directly to pet owners, and guide clinical decision-making across their practice network—all from a fully remote, Monday–Friday 9–5 schedule with no weekend or on-call work.

This is diagnostic medicine as it should be: thorough clinical reasoning without the time pressure of a busy consult diary. You’ll work with engaged veterinary teams who value clear communication and evidence-based practice, contributing to the development of clinical protocols that shape how the service evolves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret laboratory results (haematology, biochemistry, urinalysis) from cases across Snoots practices
  • Provide clear clinical interpretation, differential diagnoses, and diagnostic reasoning
  • Communicate findings and treatment recommendations directly to pet owners via phone or messaging
  • Support case follow-up and ongoing patient management in collaboration with in-clinic teams
  • Liaise with in-clinic veterinarians to discuss diagnostic findings and guide next clinical steps
  • Flag abnormal or urgent findings for immediate escalation
  • Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation
  • Contribute to developing internal clinical protocols and diagnostic guidance

Requirements

  • Veterinary degree with RCVS registration eligibility
  • Must be eligible for RCVS registration
  • Certificate in Internal Medicine (CertAVP, PgC, or equivalent) or strong equivalent experience in small animal internal medicine
  • Proven experience managing small animal internal medicine cases
  • Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and pet owners
  • Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic interpretation ability
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams
  • Reliable home internet connection and professional working environment
  • Desirable: Previous referral medicine or complex case management experience; familiarity with UK veterinary practice standards (training provided if needed)
