About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week plus weekend and bank holiday shifts on a rota basis. You’ll be part of the fast-paced Client Care and Administration team at Southfields Veterinary Specialists, a flagship referral-only hospital set in a state-of-the-art facility. Located just 30 minutes by train from central London, with easy access to Essex countryside and international travel links, this role offers both professional development and lifestyle balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage general reception duties and provide customer service to clients and patients
  • Handle telephony and incoming enquiries
  • Coordinate and manage the practice diary
  • Process client accounts and manage billing
  • Handle insurance claims and administration
  • Support the Client Care and Administration teams in delivering exceptional service
  • Undertake general administrative tasks to keep the hospital running smoothly

Requirements

  • Experience in a general reception role (veterinary experience desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Professional and caring approach to all aspects of your work
  • Genuine desire to provide excellent clinical service to patients
  • Right to Work in the UK (evidence required)
