Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

You’ll be the welcoming voice and organisational backbone of Spring Lodge’s reception team, managing busy telephone lines and scheduling appointments with efficiency and care. This varied, fast-paced role spans across six practice sites, so flexibility and a collaborative approach are essential. You’ll handle email correspondence, client enquiries, payments, stock management, and account queries, whilst occasionally supporting clinical staff with non-clinical animal handling during consultations. The team values reliability and a genuine passion for client service in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage telephone lines and schedule appointments efficiently across six practice sites
• Handle email correspondence and client enquiries with professionalism and care
• Process payments and manage client account and insurance queries
• Maintain stock levels and ensure the practice remains clean, organised, and well-stocked
• Provide administrative support to the clinical and support teams
• Assist clinical staff with non-clinical animal handling during consultations when required
• Work flexibly across multiple branches on a varied shift rota

Requirements

• Previous reception or customer service experience (veterinary or medical setting is a bonus, but not essential)
• Passion for client care and strong communication skills
• Excellent IT proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
• Flexibility to work varied shifts between 7:45 am and 7:15 pm across multiple branches
• Willingness to work a Saturday rota
• Full training provided on-site
