Approximately one Saturday morning per six weeks at Lydney branch (8:30am–1:00pm), shared across nursing team. No overnight or night shift requirements mentioned.

About the Role

Sundean Veterinary Group’s Hartpury branch is undergoing an exciting period of development, and they’re seeking one or two Registered Veterinary Nurses to join during this formative stage. This hands-on clinical nursing position offers genuine scope to shape how the branch operates, with the security of wider group support behind you. Whether you work full-time (40 hours over 4 days) or part-time, you’ll be part of a team where collaboration and practical problem-solving are genuinely valued.

The branch opens Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with approximately one Saturday morning per six weeks at the nearby Lydney branch (8:30am–1:00pm). Thursday closures may shift as staffing stabilises, offering potential for future development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day clinical nursing: inpatient care, theatre work, and anaesthesia support
  • Conducting nurse consultations and laboratory work
  • Supporting veterinary surgeons and reception team to deliver safe, efficient patient care
  • Maintaining clean, organised clinical facilities
  • One nurse may take on additional developmental responsibilities: assisting with branch workflow, stock control, contributing to protocols and quality improvements, and acting as a consistent point of contact for the team

Requirements

  • Current RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Hands-on, practical nursing experience
  • Approachable, team-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to contribute to branch development
  • Senior experience is welcomed but not essential
