About the Role

This is a full-time small animal veterinary position at Tawe Vets in Swansea, working 40 hours per week across two sites (Sketty and Gorseinon). You’ll cover a wide and varied caseload with plenty of opportunity for surgery, medical case work-ups, and building strong client relationships. The best part? No out-of-hours on-call duties. Your only weekend commitment is a 1-in-4 Saturday morning rota—genuine work-life balance in a role that values it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-opinion small animal veterinary care across two practice locations
  • Manage a varied caseload including surgical cases, medical diagnostics, and preventive care
  • Work collaboratively within a stable, experienced team of six veterinary surgeons
  • Build lasting relationships with clients across both Sketty and Gorseinon sites
  • Contribute to a supportive practice culture that encourages professional development

Requirements

  • Qualified veterinary surgeon (RCVS registered)
  • Experienced Vet (the practice is looking for an experienced Vet to join the team)
  • Strong communication and clinical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Professional registration with the RCVS
