About the Role

Tay Valley Vets is recruiting a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its established nursing team at their RCVS-accredited small animal practice in Perth. This is a rotational role working across inpatient care, theatre, pharmacy, and consultations on a weekly rota that includes weekend days and night shifts with compensated time off. You’ll be working as part of a 12-strong nursing team, each with their own specialisms and interests. The practice actively encourages nurses to develop their skills through a structured careers pathway, with many team members progressing to additional qualifications and certificates.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient ward care, including monitoring and nursing procedures
• Support theatre operations and prepare surgical cases
• Manage pharmacy duties and stock control
• Assist in nursing consultations with clients
• Operate and provide hydrotherapy treatments using the practice’s in-ground pool (training provided if interested)
• Contribute to the physiotherapy and pain management clinics
• Participate in Schedule 3 procedures as encouraged
• Support evidence-based clinical practices and contribute ideas for improving patient care and team wellbeing

Requirements

• Current RVN registration with the RCVS
• Passion for patient care and commitment to high clinical standards
• Willingness to learn and develop within a supportive environment
• Flexibility to work a rotational rota including weekend days and night shifts
• No minimum experience required—enthusiasm and dedication matter more
