Saturday mornings included in rota (1 in 3), but no night shifts or overnight on-call duties

About the Role

You’ll be the first friendly face clients and their pets encounter at Trinity Vet Centre, creating a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door. Your role spans a satisfying mix of responsibilities: answering phones, scheduling appointments, processing payments, supporting clients with health plan information, and keeping the clinic running smoothly. This is a full-time position working 41 hours per week across 4 days in 10-hour shifts, with one in three Saturday mornings included.

Located in the heart of Maidstone with picturesque Kentish countryside nearby, Trinity Vet Centre is a bustling small animal and exotic practice where collaboration and a genuine passion for animal welfare define the team culture. You’ll work alongside dedicated vets, nurses, and support staff—many with specialist expertise in exotic species—all committed to delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and manage incoming enquiries with warmth and professionalism
  • Book and manage appointments to maximise clinic flow
  • Process payments and handle financial transactions accurately
  • Advise clients on health plans and practice services
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
  • Contribute to creating a positive experience for every client and pet

Requirements

  • Previous receptionist or customer-facing experience
  • Genuine warmth and patience when working with clients and their animals
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Flexibility to work the required rota including Saturday mornings
