  • Utilise excellent facilities including a dedicated reptile ward with vivaria, digital radiography, and in-house blood analysers for rapid diagnosis
  • Access specialist support from visiting clinicians in orthopaedics, cardiology, and ophthalmology
  • Take on leadership responsibilities as you progress toward a potential Lead Vet position
  • Contribute to a knowledge-sharing culture and mentor junior team members

Requirements

  • Qualified veterinary surgeon (MRCVS or equivalent)
  • Experience in small animal and exotic practice
  • Passion for exotic species, particularly reptile medicine
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Willingness to engage with professional development and continuing education

Benefits

  • Work-life balance: 6.6 weeks annual leave plus additional birthday holiday entitlement
  • Wellbeing support: Private medical insurance, enhanced family-friendly policies (maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental, surrogacy), cycle-to-work scheme, and non-accidental injury support
  • Professional development: £1,250 CPD allowance with 40 hours paid time for training, certificate support, access to IVC Evidensia Academy, Vetlexicon online encyclopaedia, research funding eligibility, and £1,250 annual Care Fund to spend on your development
  • Professional memberships: BVA membership, VDS cover, and RCVS fees covered
  • Pension: 5% employee/3% employer contribution
  • Additional perks: Pawsome Benefits rewards gateway with discounts and cashback from 100+ retailers, discounted staff pet care
  • Competitive salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience
