Registered Veterinary Nurse – Small Animal

About the Role

Join a thriving small animal practice in leafy Twickenham, just 10 miles from Central London with easy access to Hounslow and Kingston upon Thames. This full-time permanent position offers genuine work-life balance: Monday to Friday only, with shifts typically running 8:00am–4:30pm or 11:00am–7:30pm. No weekends, no out-of-hours commitments—just solid, sustainable nursing work.

You’ll be at the heart of patient care, sharing nursing responsibilities collaboratively with a strong team and working across theatre support, inpatient care, nurse-led clinics, and general patient care. Your nursing skills will be valued and used every single day, from admission through to discharge.

Key Responsibilities

• Surgical theatre support and patient preparation
• Inpatient nursing care and monitoring
• Running nurse-led clinics independently
• General patient care, housekeeping, and discharge management
• Collaborating with five experienced vets and a supportive nursing team of full-time and part-time RVNs, VCAs, and support staff

Requirements

• Current RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach to patient care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

About the Practice

Twickenham Veterinary Surgery is a well-established, modern small animal practice located in a vibrant riverside community with excellent transport links to London. The practice is equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitoring, endoscopy, laser therapy, and a dedicated nurse consulting room. The team comprises five experienced vets, multiple RVNs, VCAs, and a dedicated support team led by the Practice Director.
