Apply before: Mar 18, 2026
No out-of-hours duties. Saturday rota on 1:4 basis with compensatory time off.
You’ll be joining a vibrant small animal team at a modern practice in Croydon, conveniently located next to Waddon Train Station with excellent links to London and the airports. This full-time position works 40 hours over 5 days a week, with a manageable 1:4 Saturday rota (you gain a day off the week before and finish at 1:30pm twice the week after to balance things out). Best of all: no out-of-hours duties.
The practice is built to industry standards with separate dog and cat kennelling areas, creating a calm environment for patients. The team is genuinely collaborative and experienced, with three Clinical Directors bringing specialist interests in internal medicine, oncology, and ultrasonography. You’ll have plenty of client interaction and real opportunities to develop your nursing skills across medical, surgical, and diagnostic work.
If you’re someone who sets high standards, takes initiative, and genuinely cares about patient welfare, this team will support your professional growth and encourage you to explore your own clinical interests.
Vets for Pets Croydon is a modern, bright practice built to industry-leading standards. The team consists of 7 veterinary surgeons (including three experienced Clinical Directors), 6 registered veterinary nurses, 1 practice manager, 4 student veterinary nurses, and 5 client care advisors. The practice is well-equipped with digital X-ray, dental X-ray, endoscope, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory.
The practice is part of the Vets for Pets network and is committed to reflecting the diversity of the communities it serves, creating an inclusive environment where people can be their best selves.
