Full Time
Ready to build your dream practice from the ground up? Vets for Pets is opening a brand-new, fully equipped standalone practice in Fleet—backed by the UK's most trusted pet care brand, but run entirely by you.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to become a practice owner with Vets for Pets, the UK’s largest network of locally owned veterinary practices. You’ll lead a brand-new, purpose-built practice in Fleet, Hampshire—a thriving, community-driven town with strong pet ownership and excellent quality of life. Unlike traditional employment, you’ll have complete clinical and operational autonomy to shape your practice’s vision, services, and team culture from day one.

Vets for Pets handles the non-clinical support—property, finance, HR, marketing, and systems—so you can focus entirely on delivering excellent clinical care. You start with a two-year loan repayment holiday to establish your practice, then progress to 100% profit twice-annual dividends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all clinical operations of the practice, setting your own clinical standards and protocols
  • Build and develop your veterinary and nursing team, deciding on staffing structure and training culture
  • Define the range of services offered (consultations, surgery, diagnostics, etc.) within the newly equipped facility
  • Set practice fees and pricing strategy to ensure viability and growth
  • Establish relationships with the local community and drive patient retention through your leadership
  • Work with the Vets for Pets support team on financial planning, marketing, and compliance matters
  • Maintain the highest standards of animal welfare and professional practice standards

Requirements

  • Qualified veterinary surgeon (RCVS registered) or experienced Practice Manager
  • Proven clinical experience and leadership capability
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition to grow and develop a practice
  • Sound business acumen or willingness to learn financial management with support
  • Commitment to high standards of animal care and professional conduct
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Vets for Pets support network

Benefits

  • Ownership & Autonomy: Full clinical and operational control of your practice—your vision, your decisions
  • Flexible Investment: £20,000 personal investment for sole ownership, or £15,000 per partner for co-ownership
  • Financial Support: Dedicated funding to help fast-track your start-up and establish the practice
  • Two-Year Loan Holiday: Focus on building your practice without immediate repayment pressures
  • Profit Sharing: 100% profit twice-annual dividends once loans are repaid, rewarding your hard work
  • Brand Strength: Operate under the Vets for Pets brand—the UK’s most trusted pet care brand (YouGov) with immediate client recognition and trust
  • Comprehensive Support: Property management, HR, finance, marketing, systems, and compliance handled by the group
  • Network Access: Part of a network of over 440 locally owned practices sharing best practice and support
  • World-Class Facilities: Purpose-built practice with 3 consultation rooms, X-ray, operating theatre, pharmacy, laboratory, separate cat and dog wards, isolation ward, and fully branded reception areas
