About the Role

This is a weekend receptionist position offering the perfect opportunity to be the welcoming face of a busy small animal practice. You’ll be the vital link between clients and the clinical team, ensuring every visit leaves a lasting positive impression. Your focus will be on building genuine relationships with clients and their pets while managing the smooth day-to-day running of the practice using online booking systems.

Based at Romford Vets for Pets in Essex, you’ll provide exceptional client service across weekend shifts, managing payments, future appointments, and creating that warm, friendly atmosphere clients look forward to returning to.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets with a warm, professional welcome
• Provide knowledgeable guidance on all practice services and additional offerings available
• Manage client payments and coordinate future bookings with confidence and accuracy
• Support the clinical team by ensuring smooth day-to-day practice operations
• Maintain computer literacy with the practice’s online booking system
• Respond to clients’ emotional needs—from offering comfort during difficult diagnoses to celebrating milestone moments like first puppy visits
• Contribute to creating a welcoming and friendly practice atmosphere alongside colleagues
