🕐 Schedule & Rota

No out-of-hours duties; some weekend day work required

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to be part of something truly special: a purpose-built veterinary practice launching in March 2026 at Cowley Retail Park in Uxbridge. You’ll help establish the team culture, build client relationships, and grow with colleagues from the very beginning. The practice has been thoughtfully designed with both clinical excellence and colleague wellbeing in mind, creating a bright, spacious, air-conditioned environment where you’ll want to work.

This is a daytime-only role with some weekend work required, but crucially, there are no out-of-hours duties. Full-time and part-time positions are available, and the practice is genuinely flexible about shift patterns to support your work-life balance.

You’ll work with the latest technology in a fully equipped facility: digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitoring, in-house laboratory (haematology, biochemistry, urinalysis, microscopy), separate cat and dog wards, dedicated theatre, prep area, isolation room, and modern consult spaces. The location is convenient too—Pets at Home, Halfords, Currys, and Tesco are nearby, along with Costa, McDonald’s, and PureGym (7-minute walk), with West Drayton train station just 15 minutes away.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care across a diverse caseload in a first-opinion practice setting
  • Contribute to shaping the practice protocols and culture as part of the founding team
  • Support clinical excellence through skilled hands-on nursing, theatre work, and patient monitoring
  • Build lasting relationships with clients and provide outstanding patient care
  • Mentor and support junior team members (particularly if you have clinical coaching experience)
  • Work collaboratively to establish best-practice workflows in a new facility

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification
  • Some clinical experience (not a newly qualified graduate role)
  • Proactive, enthusiastic team player with confidence and motivation
  • Strong commitment to high clinical standards and patient care
  • Interest in clinical coaching or mentorship (desirable but not essential)

Benefits

  • Salary up to £30,000 (depending on experience, full-time equivalent)
  • Generous CPD allowance
  • 5.6 weeks initial holiday, rising to 6.6 weeks after 2 years’ service
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Paid RCVS, BVA, and VDS membership fees
  • 20% discount at Vets for Pets, Pets at Home, and the Groom Room
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Access to reward hub including wellbeing support and pastoral care
  • Colleague Assistance Programmes (Retail Trust, Port of Call, MHFA)
  • In-house career development opportunities
