Veterinary Surgeon – Fixed Term Contract

About the Role

This is a part-time, fixed-term position running from 1st May to 10th September, perfect if you’re seeking structured work over the summer months without the long-term commitment. You’ll be joining Vets Now Belfast’s fast-paced emergency and critical care clinic, where varied cases and a collaborative team culture mean no two shifts are the same.

You’ll gain valuable exposure to a busy and rewarding ECC caseload whilst working alongside experienced clinicians who genuinely support one another. The team thrives in a high-energy environment where clinical excellence and teamwork are embedded in everything they do. Flexible rota patterns can be discussed to suit your availability, with fair sharing of evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Located in Belfast with excellent transport links across the city and surrounding areas, the clinic is easily accessible and convenient for commuting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency and critical care treatment across a varied and rewarding caseload
• Work collaboratively with the experienced emergency team at the Belfast clinic
• Maintain clinical excellence in a fast-paced, supportive environment
• Participate in the agreed rota pattern covering evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as applicable

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Surgeon (RVS/RCVS registered)
• Willingness to develop ECC skills within a supportive team setting
• Flexibility and openness to discussing rota patterns that suit your availability
