You’ll be joining Vets Now Staines as a part-time ECC veterinary surgeon, working an average of 32 hours per week across a rotating rota of overnight and weekend shifts. This is where you’ll sharpen your emergency and critical care expertise during the hours when daytime practices are closed—working alongside a committed team of vet surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, and animal care assistants to deliver urgent care when pets need it most.
The rota pattern cycles across four weeks, with shifts including Wednesday and Thursday nights (19:00–09:00), selected weekend days and nights, and a share of bank holidays. This structured approach means you’ll know your schedule well in advance, making it easier to plan your life outside the clinic.
Vets Now Staines is part of Vets Now, a leading provider of emergency and critical care services across the UK. The practice operates 24/7 to support pets when daytime vets are closed, combining experienced clinical teams with a strong commitment to staff development. The team is supported by structured training programmes including the AdvantEdge initiative, designed to help vets build confidence and competence in emergency medicine.
Vets Now is a Disability Confident Employer and actively welcomes applications from candidates of all backgrounds, including those from diverse and minority groups. The organisation is committed to providing reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
