About the Role

You’ll be the first point of contact for pet owners arriving at Vets Now Wolverhampton during emergencies. This Saturday-only position offers flexibility and purpose – you’ll work either 12:00–18:00 or 18:00–00:00 shifts, plus a fair share of bank holidays, making it ideal for those seeking weekend-focused work in emergency and critical care.

As a receptionist in an emergency setting, you’re at the heart of the operation. You’ll greet distressed clients, handle incoming calls about pets en route, manage financial transactions smoothly, and relay vital information to the veterinary team. It’s fast-paced, genuinely meaningful work where your professionalism directly impacts the client experience during their pet’s most stressful moment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for emergency admissions, greeting clients and managing their arrival process
• Answer incoming calls professionally, providing updates on patients en route and assisting clients in need of guidance
• Handle financial transactions accurately and sensitively
• Relay patient information to the veterinary team to keep them informed of arrivals and updates
• Perform administrative duties to support clinic operations

Requirements
