About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity at a purpose-built small animal practice located on Imperial Retail Park in Gravesend, Kent, offering a genuine work-life balance with just one Saturday in three. You’ll be joining an established team of three vets, six RVNs, and two SVNs in a modern facility designed to industry-leading standards.

The role offers a mix of surgical and medical cases within a collaborative environment where strong client relationships are built on excellent communication. Once settled, you’ll have the confidence to take some sole charge responsibility during the week and weekends, but you’ll never be working in isolation—there’s genuine team support throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality surgical and medical care to small animal patients
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships through clear, compassionate communication
• Take appropriate sole charge responsibility as you settle into the practice
• Work collaboratively within a team of three vets, supporting and being supported by experienced colleagues
• Utilise state-of-the-art equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, and specialist surgical tools

Requirements

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS registered)
• Confident and motivated approach to clinical practice
• Experience or willingness to develop skills in both surgical and medical cases
• Excellent communication skills with a client-focused mindset
• Comfortable with some sole charge responsibility once settled

The facility is equipped with digital X-ray, in-house laboratory, Doppler blood pressure monitoring, ultrasound, capnography, pulse oximetry, v-gels for cats and rabbits, surgical suction, and separate dog and cat wards—everything needed for confident, evidence-based practice.
