Client Care Assistant

About the Role

Village Vet in Brook Green is looking for a confident, organised Client Care Assistant to join their front-of-house team. This is a fast-paced, rewarding role where you’ll be the first point of contact for clients and a vital link between the public and the clinical team. Working 42 hours per week on a permanent full-time basis, you’ll thrive in an environment that values exceptional customer service, calm organisation under pressure, and genuine passion for animal care.

Based in the heart of Brook Green, West London, this role offers a blend of client-facing interaction, administrative support, and hands-on practice management—with no two days quite the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting clients with a warm, professional welcome and managing the flow of visitors
• Booking appointments and maintaining accurate diary management
• Handling incoming telephone and email enquiries promptly and courteously
• Processing payments for services and products, managing cash handling and client accounts
• Supporting the clinical team with administrative duties to keep operations running smoothly
• Promoting Village Vet’s healthcare plans to clients
• Opening and closing the practice, ensuring all procedures are followed
• Managing stock and maintaining organised, efficient reception systems

Requirements

• Proven customer-facing experience in a professional setting
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Confidence and competence using the telephone
• Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Reception or client care experience (desirable)
• A genuine passion and love for animals
