About the Role

Join Warren House Veterinary Group as a Veterinary Surgeon and become part of a well-established small animal practice that genuinely values its team. This is a permanent role offering full-time or part-time hours to suit your lifestyle—including Saturday consulting (9am–4pm or 9am–12:30pm with time off in lieu) and completely free of out-of-hours commitments. You’ll have access to in-house laboratory services, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy facilities across the group—meaning many cases can be managed internally without unnecessary referrals.

  • Conduct consultations, perform surgery, carry out dentistry procedures, and manage cases from initial assessment through follow-up
  • Work up cases to a high clinical standard, researching presentations and booking diagnostics or non-routine surgical procedures as appropriate

  • Contribute to a team culture that actively supports professional development and work-life balance

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills (both with clients and colleagues)

About the Practice

Warren House Veterinary Group was established in 1982 at the Rochester site and has since expanded into a network of four small animal practices across the Medway Towns. Each branch is independently equipped with modern clinical facilities including digital imaging, ultrasound, laboratory services, and endoscopy capabilities. The team includes 11 vets with special interests spanning orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, internal medicine, ultrasonography, and complementary therapies—peripatetic specialists are also engaged when needed.

The practice is renowned for its supportive culture and operational structure. Leadership includes a senior leadership team supporting clinical and non-clinical staff, a Lead Vet across the group, and branch-level nurse and client care leads. The team is notably stable, with several members having served for 30+ years. The Lordswood branch holds Cat Friendly Clinic Silver Award accreditation and is working to extend this across all sites. Warren House is part of Linnaeus and Mars Veterinary Health, the largest family-owned veterinary company in the world, providing access to specialist networks and development opportunities whilst maintaining local autonomy.
