Orthopaedic Referral Surgeon

About the Role

This is a full-time position for an experienced orthopaedic surgeon to join Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service, one of the leading small animal referral hospitals globally. You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering specialist orthopaedic care to referred cases, supported by over 250 associates across multiple specialisms.

The role offers the opportunity to work with world-class diagnostic equipment and contribute to a practice recognised for clinical excellence and ongoing professional development. You’ll be based in Solihull and expected to work standard full-time hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist orthopaedic surgical care and referral consultations
• Lead orthopaedic cases within a multi-disciplinary referral environment
• Contribute to clinical excellence standards and team development
• Participate in CPD and support continuous learning across the team
• Collaborate with emergency, anaesthesia, and imaging teams to optimise patient outcomes

Requirements

• RCVS/ECVS/ACVS diplomatic status or equivalent specialist qualification in orthopaedics
• Proven experience in orthopaedic referral work
• Post-residency applicants with significant orthopaedic experience considered
• Current professional registration with RCVS

The practice is one of the leading referral centres globally and employs over 250 associates across specialist teams including orthopaedics, neurology, ophthalmology, internal medicine, clinical nutrition, oncology, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, dermatology, emergency and critical care, anaesthesia, and diagnostic imaging.

Facilities include on-site Siemens 64-slice CT, Siemens 1.5T MRI, two in-theatre mobile image intensifiers, two digital radiography rooms, ultrasonography, electro diagnostics, and video endoscopy.
