About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the specialist oncology team at Willows Veterinary Centre, one of the leading small animal referral hospitals in the UK. You’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients, coordinating cases within the medical oncology department and assisting with internal medical cases when the caseload allows.

Based in Solihull with easy access to Birmingham, London, and the surrounding countryside, you’ll work a balanced 38-hour week alongside a dynamic team of highly specialised professionals across multiple disciplines—from orthopaedics and neurology to emergency and critical care. Full training and support will be provided, and you’ll benefit from a truly welcoming induction on a large, well-resourced referral site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the medical oncology team in delivering high-standard patient and client care
  • Coordinate oncology cases and assist in case management within the team
  • Provide nursing care for oncology patients, including chemotherapy support where appropriate
  • Maintain strict adherence to Health and Safety protocols specific to oncology patients
  • Assist with internal medicine cases as the oncology caseload allows
  • Collaborate across the hospital to ensure efficient, coordinated patient care
  • Maintain high hygiene standards, care for specialist equipment, and manage stock effectively
  • Support the nursing team in delivering a consistently excellent 5-star experience for clients and patients

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with minimum one year post-qualification experience
  • Reliable, dedicated approach to patient and client care
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
  • Understanding and commitment to Health and Safety protocols in a specialist environment
  • Previous referral experience or additional relevant qualifications desirable but not essential
