About the Role

Join Wilton House Veterinary Clinic as a Registered Veterinary Nurse where your clinical skills and compassion genuinely make a difference every day. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week across a flexible 4- or 5-day week) with no out-of-hours commitments, based in the charming market town of Guisborough on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. You’ll work Monday to Friday plus one Saturday morning per week (8:00 am–1:00 pm), with access to stunning countryside, nearby beaches, and easy reach to Newcastle and Durham.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team of experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses and Animal Care Assistants who actively support one another. The practice benefits from clinical guidance from Gillian Wormald, Clinical Director at Stokesley Vets, reinforcing a commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality inpatient care for medical and surgical cases
• Monitor and manage anaesthesia safely and competently
• Conduct engaging and informative nurse consultations with clients
• Perform essential laboratory procedures and diagnostics
• Provide empathetic client support, particularly during emotional or sensitive moments
• Collaborate with the wider team to maintain efficient practice operations
• Contribute to a culture of professional excellence and continuous learning

Requirements

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (current registration required)
• Excellent patient care skills with a genuine passion for quality nursing
• Clear, compassionate communication with both clients and colleagues
