Afon Veterinary Centre is seeking an experienced mixed veterinary surgeon to join its proudly independent, mixed 17-vet practice in South Wales. The position is full time across four days a week, with out of hours shared equally between the mixed veterinary surgeons on a rota of two weekends and five weeknights in every eight week block, with either first or second on call duties.
You will be part of a long established practice that cares for farm clients the team has worked with for generations, alongside small animal caseloads from the main hospital in Neath and three nearby small animal branch surgeries that provide consults only. The practice also provides its own out of hours service with 24-hour on-site nursing care.

The practice has a small animal hospital with four consulting rooms, separate kennels and cattery wards, isolation kennels, digital X-ray, a dental suite with digital radiography, ultrasound, ECG and an in-house laboratory with Idexx haematology and biochemistry machines. The farm side includes an on-site large animal block for lambings, ewe caesareans and calf in-patients, plus FECPAK faecal egg counts, bull and ram fertility visits, regular farm meetings and newsletters.
