This full-time position offers the chance to work within a well-established, purpose-built practice serving a diverse mixed-animal caseload across small animal, farm, equine and export services. Based at Strathaven Rural Centre since 2009, you'll be part of a supportive clinical team where nursing excellence is valued and career progression is actively supported. The role includes a manageable 1:4 Saturday rota alongside two extended weekday shifts (8am-7pm) and two shorter shifts (8am-5:30pm) each week, totalling 38 hours.
You'll work alongside 2 Clinical Directors, 18 veterinary surgeons, a Head RVN, fellow RVNs and support staff in an environment committed to ongoing professional development. The practice has invested in laparoscopic surgical equipment and is expanding orthopaedic services including TPLO procedures, giving you exposure to varied and developing clinical skills.
Avondale Veterinary Group is a long-established practice with over 100 years of history in Strathaven, Lanarkshire. The current purpose-built facility opened in August 2009 within the Strathaven Rural Centre, 16 miles south-west of Glasgow, and comprises a main surgery plus separate equine facility. The practice provides routine and emergency services across farm, equine and small animal medicine.
