Beaumont Veterinary Centre is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, supportive and progressive team in Exeter. With a manageable pattern of four 10-hour shifts per week, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, and no out-of-hours or on-call commitments, you'll enjoy genuine work-life balance while delivering excellent care.
You'll manage your own caseload, build strong client relationships and work cases up to a high standard, benefiting from nearby referral centres when specialist input is required. The role offers an excellent balance of consultations and surgery, providing exposure to a varied and rewarding caseload while allowing you to maintain and develop your surgical skills. Part-time applications are also welcomed.
Beaumont Veterinary Centre is a well-established single-site practice in Exeter, first established in the late 1970s and relocated to its present site in Pinhoe in 1995. The practice has concentrated exclusively on small animal care since 2012 to provide the highest quality of care. It is RCVS accredited and underwent extensive refurbishment and expansion between 2003 and 2005 to provide modern facilities.
The practice operates as part of inspiring vet care, the UK's number one vet care provider, trusted with the care of over 2 million animals. The team includes Veterinary Surgeons (including a Lead Veterinary Surgeon who sits on the RCVS Board), RVNs, Client Care colleagues and a Practice Director. Facilities include in-house ophthalmology certificate holder, ultrasound, digital and dental radiography, laparoscopic equipment, recently installed dental machine, and established referral pathways for specialist support.
