About the Role

Berry House Vets is seeking a motivated and friendly Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their small animal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a genuine opportunity to develop your nursing skills across a broad range of treatments and procedures whilst working in a fun, professional environment with colleagues who encourage you to use your full potential.

You’ll work full-time on a variety of shift patterns (7:30–16:00, 8:00–16:30, 10:00–18:30, with occasional duty shifts 15:00–21:45), plus weekends on a 1-in-7 rota. Importantly, there are no out-of-hours calls – reception staff cover opening hours – giving you genuine work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care across a range of nursing duties including nurse clinics, theatre work, and clinical support
  • Utilise advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment including laparoscopy, digital x-ray (including dental imaging), multiparameter monitoring, and Phovia
  • Support a wide range of veterinary treatments and procedures in a busy, organised practice environment
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, client service, and animal welfare in a team-focused setting

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification
  • Strong all-round nursing skills and practical experience
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to teamwork
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and excellent client communication
  • Ability to thrive in a busy practice whilst maintaining professionalism and organisation
