About the Role

You’ll be joining Boness Veterinary Hospital, a busy, well-equipped small animal practice nestled in rural Bedfordshire with a satellite branch nearby. This full-time position offers varied clinical nursing across both sites, working alongside a strong team of experienced RVNs, vets with multiple certificates, and a dedicated lab technician. With a manageable rota including midweek shifts and Saturday mornings (2:6), you’ll have genuine time to recharge alongside meaningful clinical work.

Whether newly qualified or experienced, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to develop your skills in a collaborative, professional environment where the team genuinely supports each other. The practice is RCVS-accredited and offers excellent facilities including diagnostic imaging, surgical theatres, in-house lab, and separate cat and dog wards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-standard small animal nursing care across the main hospital and branch surgery
  • Support diagnostic imaging, surgical theatre work, and in-house laboratory procedures
  • Provide excellent patient and client care with a proactive, positive approach
  • Work collaboratively with the 13-strong nursing team and veterinary staff
  • Contribute to the practice’s commitment to outstanding care and strong client relationships

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification (RVN)
  • Confidence working in a busy hospital environment
  • Genuine commitment to excellent patient and client care
  • Ability to work as part of a close-knit, supportive team
  • Proactive and positive approach to work
