This is a full-time nursing position in a well-equipped, friendly small animal practice located in Oswestry. You'll work 37.5 hours per week across two sites (Brownlow Vets Pets Ellesmere and Border Vets Pets Oswestry), with a straightforward Monday to Friday schedule (8:30am to 6:30pm with Tuesdays off) plus a manageable 1 in 3 Saturday rota (8:30am to 1:00pm). Crucially, there is no out-of-hours commitment, giving you genuine work-life balance.
The practice sits in a charming countryside location near Oswestry, Shropshire, with easy access to major cities including Manchester, Chester, Shrewsbury, and Birmingham. You'll be surrounded by independent shops, cafes, restaurants, and scenic walking routes, making it an ideal setting for those seeking both professional growth and quality of life.
You'll work closely with experienced Veterinary Surgeons and support staff, many of whom hold advanced qualifications in surgery, emergency and critical care. The team values clinical excellence and animal welfare above all else.
The Border and Brownlow group operates as an 8-vet companion animal and livestock practice with surgeries in Oswestry, Ellesmere, and Chirk. The team comprises 8 veterinary nurses and nursing assistants, 5 receptionists, and 2 practice managers, creating a strong support network. The practice is fully equipped with modern surgical, anaesthetic, radiology, laboratory, and hospitalisation facilities to handle all aspects of contemporary veterinary care.
