About the Practice
Bramble and Bear was founded three years ago by Dr Matt Bayliss MRCVS and Dr Hannah Brooks MRCVS, experienced veterinary surgeons with a shared vision to create an innovative, forward-thinking practice combining the best aspects of their previous experience. What began as a mobile clinic evolved into a fully equipped mobile surgical unit, and in September 2023, they opened their first hub in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
The newly completed purpose-built Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre marks an exciting expansion. The facility features two fully equipped operating theatres, a dedicated dental suite, and comprehensive imaging (DR X-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy). In keeping with their Fear-Free accreditation, the practice has created separate cat and dog wards to minimise stress. Alongside the hospital, the Rehab Centre offers underwater treadmill, hydrotherapy, and dedicated physiotherapy services. The practice is situated on a working farm with the farm shop and cafƩ next door, creating a peaceful working environment. As an accredited nurse training practice, they currently employ 3 RVNs and 1 SVN, with visiting orthopaedic surgeon support for specialist surgery. The team operates 24/7 on-site to provide round-the-clock free consultations to clients.
