About the Role
Bryn and Golborne Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its small animal team. The role can be tailored to suit your strengths, with either consult only or consult and surgery work available.
You will work across a thriving two-site first opinion practice in Ashton-in-Makerfield and Golborne, with a collaborative team culture and access to a broad range of clinical equipment. The practice also highlights its Care Frameworks and a focus on delivering excellent care for loyal clients and their pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team across both branches.
- Deliver high standards of patient and client care across a varied small animal caseload.
- Contribute to the clinical culture of the practice by sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues.
- Take on consult only or consult and surgery work, depending on your preference.
- Support the ongoing development of the team around you.
Requirements
- A veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
- Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A passion for delivering excellent patient and client care.

- Salary up to £70,000 per year, dependent on experience.

Bryn and Golborne Veterinary Clinic is a two-site first opinion small animal practice based in Ashton-in-Makerfield and Golborne. The practice is part of inspiring vet care, which says it is the UK's number one vet care provider and cares for over 2 million animals.
The team works across both branches and includes a Practice Director, a Clinical Lead, three veterinary surgeons, four registered veterinary nurses, one SVN and five support staff. Clinical facilities mentioned include a dental suite, digital x-ray, ultrasound, blood pressure equipment and a tonometer.
