About the Role

Cedar Vets is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their growing team across multiple Hampshire locations. This role offers flexibility with full-time and part-time positions available at any of their branches in Alton, Alresford, Bordon, or Four Marks. Working from modern, purpose-built facilities with excellent equipment including dental X-ray, video endoscopes, laparoscopy, CT, and multiparameter monitors, you'll deliver high-standard primary care in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. The team maintains very low staff turnover and operates with genuine leadership support and open communication. Saturday rotas run on approximately a 1 in 6 basis, with time and a half compensation for weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care aligned with Cedar Vets' clinical standards and values
• Work as part of an established senior nursing team in a VNTC and Surrey Vet School IMR provider practice
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-based approach to patient care and practice development
• Support colleagues in a psychologically safe environment with shared learning and development
• Participate in the predictable, recurring rota system

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification (RVN)

• Experience or willingness to develop in a small animal primary care setting
• Flexibility to work across multiple branch locations as needed

• Hourly pay from £13.99 (entry level) to £15.74 (senior nurse with additional responsibilities)

About the Practice

Cedar Vets is an independent, owner-run practice with over 130 years of history in the local community. Run by husband and wife team Charlie and Lara, the practice is rooted in deep local values, prioritising clinical excellence, staff wellbeing, and thoughtful, contextualised patient care. The practice operates across Alton, Alresford, Bordon, and Four Marks, with a newly opened Bordon branch in March 2025 creating exciting growth opportunities.

Located on the edge of the South Downs National Park with the New Forest and South Coast nearby, Cedar Vets combines excellent rural setting with strong train links to London. The practice invests continuously in modern facilities and equipment, with Alresford completed in 2019 and Alton moving to a significantly larger, purpose-built site in October 2022. The team is established as a VNTC and Surrey Vet School IMR provider, reflecting a strong commitment to professional development and mentorship.
