Cranbrook Vets is looking for an experienced small animal vet who enjoys solid GP work and wants to be part of an independent practice that is still shaping its future. You will be joining as a third Veterinary Surgeon, with the chance to contribute ideas, help build the practice and play a meaningful part in what comes next.
The caseload is varied and expanding, covering preventative healthcare, medicine work-ups, routine surgery, emergency surgery and increasingly complex cases. You will need to be comfortable managing your own cases, confident with first-opinion practice and happy working collaboratively within a small, friendly team.
The practice has newly refurbished clinical areas and continues to invest as it grows. You will also work alongside an experienced and growing nursing team, with a collaborative approach to patient care.
Cranbrook Vets is a fully independent, owner-led practice that opened in July 2025 in the heart of Cranbrook, returning independent veterinary care to a historic practice site. The practice is co-owned by Lead Vet Mandy, Deputy Nurse Chloe, Practice Manager Rhianna and Managing Director John, who is an experienced veterinary surgeon and practice owner.
The team provides care for more than 1,200 clients and offers a growing small animal caseload. Facilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, a dedicated surgical theatre and prep area, a separate dental suite with dental radiography, isolation facilities, and separate cat and dog waiting areas. The practice also works with an experienced peripatetic surgeon, allowing a range of orthopaedic procedures to be kept in-house.
