Head Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

Creature Comforts is recruiting a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse for its brand new clinic in Beaconsfield. This is a leadership role for an experienced RVN who can guide the nursing team, support daily clinical standards and help build a positive working environment from the ground up.

You will be working in a modern setting that makes use of bespoke veterinary technology and state of the art facilities. The role also offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative workplace where ideas are valued and professional development is supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage the nursing team so patient care runs efficiently and effectively.
• Oversee day to day clinic operations and help maintain best practice and agreed protocols.
• Work with vets and other staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure medical equipment and technology are used and maintained properly.
• Monitor stock levels for medical supplies and medications.
• Support a positive and collaborative team culture.
• Take part in continuing education and training to stay current with veterinary care developments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a head nurse in a veterinary setting, or extensive RVN experience with the capability to step into a Head Nurse role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good knowledge of veterinary nursing practices and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with bespoke veterinary technology.
• Commitment to delivering high quality patient care.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
