About the Role

You’ll be the first smiling face clients and their pets meet at Croft Veterinary Centre, a well-established single-site small animal practice with a specialist dentistry referral service. Located on the edge of Brackley with easy M40 access, this is a vibrant, supportive practice where every team member matters. Working 28 hours per week across 3 days (8am–6pm), with the flexibility of split shifts, you’ll manage the busy reception desk while building genuine relationships with regular clients.

Your role sits at the heart of the practice’s daily operations. You’ll manage the appointment diary, field telephone and email enquiries, process payments, and support practice initiatives like the FAB scheme and Pet Health Club. You’ll work closely with the clinical team—8 vets and 8 RVNs—to ensure every pet and owner leaves feeling valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet, greet, and welcome clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
• Book and manage appointments, maintaining an efficient diary system
• Handle telephone and email enquiries promptly and courteously
• Process payments for services and products, managing cash and end-of-day banking
• Keep the practice reception and waiting areas clean, safe, and welcoming
• Support the running of practice initiatives including FAB and Pet Health Club
• Assist with day-to-day pharmacy operations
• Collaborate with colleagues across clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure smooth practice flow

Croft Veterinary Centre is a single-site small animal practice established in Brackley, serving dogs, cats, small pets, and exotic animals (rabbit and chicken friendly). The practice boasts a specialist dentistry referral service and operates with a strong team of 8 veterinary surgeons and 8 registered veterinary nurses, supported by dedicated staff. The centre is conveniently located with excellent M40 motorway links.
