Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This Registered Veterinary Nurse role is based at Harbour Veterinary Group in Portsmouth, where the rota is set at 40 hours a week across four days. Weekend and bank holiday cover is included, but there are no night shifts.

You will be part of a varied first opinion nursing role with scope to develop across all areas of clinical practice. The practice is looking for someone who enjoys collaborative working, values clear communication and wants to keep building skills in a busy, supportive environment.

Harbour is a large, purpose-built small animal practice within Portsmouth's Pompey Centre, with modern facilities, advanced equipment and access to referral services including cardiology, keyhole surgery, orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day to day patient and client care as part of the nursing team.
• Support patient outcomes across all areas of clinical practice.
• Help maintain clinical standards and keep the practice environment in good condition.
• Work closely with colleagues and clients through clear, confident communication.
• Take part in training and development opportunities offered through Harbour and CVS.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification.
• Passion for delivering high quality veterinary nursing care.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good organisational skills.
• A willingness to learn, develop and progress.
