Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

West Mount Vets is offering a full-time Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse position in West Vale, Halifax, with a rota of 37.5 hours a week and one night shift a month. If you are interested in a part-time rota, the practice invites you to get in touch.

This is a chance to join a friendly, supportive and progressive multidisciplinary team that values collaboration, training and clinical standards. The practice also has several certificate holders and vets working towards certificates, so there is plenty of opportunity to discuss cases and keep learning.

The team works with a longstanding client base and delivers its own bespoke OOH service from an RCVS-accredited Tier 3 hospital in Halifax. It also has two purpose-built branch practices in Mytholmroyd and Huddersfield, both equipped with digital x-ray and ultrasound.

Key Responsibilities

• Support patient care across all aspects of clinical work as part of the team.
• Help maintain quality and uphold the practice environment and standards of care.
• Contribute to a friendly, welcoming and supportive team culture.
• Use strong written and verbal communication to build relationships with colleagues, clients and their pets.
• Take part in ongoing training and development through CVS and the practice.

Requirements

• You should be a dedicated Veterinary Nurse for the West Vale team.
• You need to be passionate about exceptional care for patients and owners.
• Good communication skills are required, both written and verbal.
• A willingness to learn, develop and grow is important.
• The practice is looking for someone who can contribute positively to the team.
