About the Role

This is a Veterinary Surgeon role at Harbour Veterinary Hospital in Portsmouth, within Harbour Veterinary Group. The position is for a full time 40 hour week, with flexible working and a four day week mentioned in the advert.

You will be joining a first opinion small animal team where clinicians are encouraged to take the lead on surgical and medical cases. The practice says it is looking for an all round GP vet who is ideally comfortable with sole charge and interested in pursuing a certificate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on a varied first opinion small animal caseload.
• Manage surgical and medical cases, including diagnostic investigations.
• Work confidently within a team that values best practice and shared clinical decision making.
• Support colleagues and contribute to shaping clinical standards.
• Take part in the practice's monthly vet team meetings, clinical discussions, in house practical training and whole practice meetings.

Requirements

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon.
• Experienced vet with strong clinical autonomy.
• Comfortable handling a varied caseload.
• Ideally comfortable with sole charge.
• Interest in pursuing a certificate is welcomed.
• Strong client care and team working skills.
