About the Role

Crooks and Partners in Rotherham are recruiting a permanent Veterinary Surgeon, with scope for either a general practice caseload or a consultations-only role if that suits your style. The rota is open to discussion, with 25 to 40 hours a week available, and the practice describes this as a role with strong work life balance.

You will be joining an established, community-focused team with a family feel and a long-standing client base, including many families who have stayed with the practice for over 20 years. Key Responsibilities

• Work as a GP Veterinary Surgeon within a first opinion practice.
• Manage a varied caseload, including medical and surgical cases.
• Carry out diagnostic investigations as part of everyday clinical work.
• Provide consultations, with the option to focus on consults only if preferred.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Deliver reassuring client care and build trusted relationships with owners.

Requirements

• Confident clinical skills across medical and surgical work.
• Ability to carry out diagnostic investigations with accuracy.
• A desire to keep developing clinical confidence and case management skills.
• A team-focused approach and willingness to support and mentor colleagues.
• Strong client care skills.
